On February 29, Zion’s “Older Wiser Lutherans” were treated to a potluck and program in the Fellowship Hall. Approximately 80 seniors enjoyed a variety of hotdishes, salads, pickles and breads followed by the program “Laugh for Life” presented by Kevin Doely, Faith Lutheran Church Senior Pastor and musical ventriloquist. Many vent puppets made their appearance during the program including Elvis, Johnny Cash and Aunt Mabel. Elvis and Johnny Cash sang a song or two and Aunt Mabel performed “Mistakes were Made.” Kevin and his puppets were a lot of fun and kept everyone laughing.
