Tuesday, April 22 is Earth Day, a day widely observed across the country to raise awareness and response to environmental issues. Zion’s Creation Care Team is hosting a variety of observations and activities during our Sunday School and Adult Faith Forum time, including:

  • a seed planting activity for Sunday School kids; native tree and shrub give-away.
  • make-and-take name tags (to try to lessen the use of our disposable ones)
  • a featured Forum speaker, Michelle Dehn of the R Marketplace store in downtown Anoka, who will share part of her story and offer a number of suggestions for lessening our impact on the earth through refillable products and eco-friendly swaps in our daily lives.

“When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have established; what are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them”–Psalm 8:3-4
