Zion was an official sponsor of Riverfest again this year which meant that our booth was located at a prime location on the corner of Jackson and 2nd Street. This year we had 1000 prizes to give away. Prizes were won by the Spin-It to Win-It Wheel – always a huge favorite! The prizes for spinning the wheel were:

  • Zion cookbooks
  • Dinosaur and unicorn suckers
  • Water bottles
  • Wooden Zion keychains
  • Hand-knit dish clothes by Zion’s Knit One Purl Two group
  • Edible bubbles
  • Highlighters
  • Markers
  • Journals
  • Fans

Free for the taking were 300 children’s books as well as tote bags. For our furry friends that stopped by the booth, we had dog treats as well as bowls of water. The Zion quilters donated two quilts to raffle off. Over 100 people registered to win a quilt!

Zion musicians, Rich Goldman on clarinet and KT Thompson on accordion, played music from 9-10:30 a.m. From 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Troy from Do Your Thing Productions created balloon animals for the kids and adults, too! 😊

Anoka Riverfest and Craft Fair takes place each year in July in historic downtown Anoka. This year over 25,000 people attended this popular annual event.
