According to our official census takers, over 250 people were “registered” in the city of David, December 3, 2023. “A Night in Bethlehem,” a new family event organized by Zion’s Children, Youth and Family team, led participants through a unique way to experience the night of Jesus’ birth.
Participants met real nativity animals provided by Hasse Family Enterprises of Pemberton, MN, then met a Roman guard, who proclaimed the Emperor’s orders that all must report to census takers to be counted. After that, participants wandered through the village, crafting with potters, weavers and carpenters, sampling Bible times food at Taste of Bethlehem, “shopped” at the Magi Market, sang carols with angels, hung out with shepherds and sheep, and visited Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus in the stable!
